The Istanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC) administers both domestic and international arbitrations. The institution was created in 2015, and its Rules of Arbitration and Mediation came into force in October that year. Due to the location of ISTAC in Turkey, the institution is geographically well situated for the resolution of disputes between parties from Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Read more on features of the ISTAC Rules and their interplay with Turkish arbitration law in an article authored by Müge Erdoğmuş and published in the ISTAC newsletter.
