Litigation Bodenheimer Herzberg legal

At BODENHEIMER HERZBERG, we try domestic and international cases, both before national and international courts and tribunals. The key to successful litigating lies in narrating the client’s case in a conclusive, unpretentious, no-nonsense manner, and in staying true to that narrative throughout the case. With this timeless truth in mind, we offer our international clients mindful litigation strategies with a German flavour: Detail-oriented. Focused. Determined. Results-driven.

We are particularly proud of our cross-border practice: We routinely handle the German and/or EU aspects of transnational disputes. With our multi-jurisdictional approach – our attorneys are admitted in six jurisdictions – , we are also ideally placed to litigate before international courts and tribunals, and have done so, inter alia, before the General Court of the European Union, and the European Court of Justice.

Whenever it lies in our client’s interests, we interface our classical litigation skills with other elements of our broad disputes portfolio. More specifically:

  • We are involved early on to determine the prospects of
    litigating complex claims.

  • We obtain and preserve evidence in preparation of litigation.

  • We have extensive experience in interim relief, including
    in international cases.

  • We identify assets and enforce judgments, including across borders.

  • We have what it takes to mediate and/or otherwise negotiate
e.g. by way of conciliation – a settlement to avoid or end litigation.

  • We know both, litigation and arbitration inside out, and are able to meaningfully connect the dots in the most efficient way possible when it comes to arbitration-related litigation, whether in Germany or beyond.
